Welcome to Karafest 2011!
This year the festivities began on Saturday August 27th and I have a feeling they will continue until September the 11th after I see my Edmonton friends.
So I think Karafest is going to be a total of 15 days! Wow! That is definately longer then last year....
So to begin our evening we Jenni, Sharee, Kara(not me the other one;), Scott and Russ headed out to Taber for a BBQ at my Momma's.
We had salmon, and Taber corn, salad and cream peas and potatoes. For dessert the options were: rhubarb cruch cake, sticky toffee pudding, or german chocolate cake.
The kids were there too, so we played croquet and bocci ball with them and then headed off to Cornfest.
This was my gift from my sweet niece Taia...

Taia and her new found love....Scottie. She loved being with him! He even bought her a ticket to the super slide and went down it with her :)
Tagie sat on Russ's shoulders forever too....Russ was very patient while Tage stuck his fingers in Russ's ears, and even put up with Tage wiping his sweat on Russ! lol.
This is me with Kara....she charmed a carni lady into letting us skip the line and get on the zipper for free!! Way to go Kara! I got to ride it twice! Once with Scott....we did 7 flips and laughed our heads off....then twice with Kara.
By the end of the second time my stomach was the one doing the flips!
